A beautiful reproduction of a Boson's pipe. The "boson's whistle" was used by sailors to salute high ranking officers as they board the ship. This particular item features excellent construction, with a brass framework, turned brass mouthpiece, and brass whistle bowl featuring a marine anchor on either side. The boatswain's pipe is attached to a 30 inch chain to hang around your neck. This item comes gift boxed (shown above), with a boatswains call fact sheet ( also shown above).
