This is a beautiful boxed solid brass desk top compass inlaid into wooden box with pivot brass hinges and black felt inlaid into the top and also on the underside of the box, to prevent scratching. The box measures 3½" x 3½" x 1" and the compass measures 2¼" in diameter. The pictures shown do absolutely no justice to this compass.
